A good walk improves aerobic capacity for older adults
Aerobic capacity is the ability to do the things we want or have to do, like cleaning house or running errands or running a marathon.
A study by the University of Georgia concluded, older adults can decrease their risk of disability and increase their likelihood of maintaining independence, doing the things we want to do, by 41 percent through a walking program. The Ville remains the home to many historic institutions including the Charles Sumner High School, Tandy Park, The Annie Malone Center and the Homer G. Phillips center.
